Compressive support is a powerful extension that provides an alternative to Ansys WB’s built-in compressive support boundary condition with funtionality of Ansys Classic
The functionality of Ansys Classic has been transferred to the Workbench environment so that the user can control all compressive support parameters in a user-friendly way. The user can choose between two different types of contact elements CONTA174 and CONTA178 and a full spectrum of advanced settings such as: Contact algorithm, Detection method, Stiffness and many others. Thanks to this extension, advanced analyses with compressive support can be performed without the need to create additional macros, directly from Ansys Workbench menu.
